(In Memory of Chuck Hanson, past club President)
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: BRIAN BAILEY:
About Green Country MG register (GCMGR)
GCMGR was formed in 1975 when a handful of T series MG owners joined in a group of mutual support and enjoyment of the classic post WWII British sports car. MGA's and MGB's were still to be found on used car lots, and you could still buy an MGB as a new car from a dealership. Today they're all classics.
Today GCMGR is an active organization with over 50 households participating. Although, it should be emphasized that ownership of an MG is not a prerequisite for membership.
Each year begins with a planning meeting and ends with a Christmas party at the home of one of our members. In between, activities include a monthly dinner ( or Saturday breakfast in some months), tech sessions (which include activities for the less technical of a couple), day trips, occasional overnight jaunts to historic and interesting sites in Oklahoma and club trips to British car shows in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
An interesting, informative and sometimes humorous monthly newsletter is the information life blood for our organization. A Facebook group provides members with an opportunity to share information, personal and otherwise. Photographs from the most recent group events are also posted there.
Annual dues are $25 for the first year and include name badges for the joining member and their significant other. Subsequent years are $15. Add $5 if no email is available, this covers the cost of mailing the newsletter. Additional / replacement name badges are $10 each.
If interested, we would love to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] or use the Contact Form below. If you like to join us, please see the membership application on the Membership page.
